Repurposing & Resetting
Are your family heirlooms gathering dust?
Inheriting a fabulous fine jewelry piece or collection from a family member or friend is a huge compliment. Don’t let those lovely gems go to waste or be forgotten in a jewelry box. Below are some examples of how we were able to keep the memory alive for our customers by creating a custom jewelry designs from their heirlooms.
Three Generations Together Forever
The client has inherited her Mom’s and Grandmothers rings. Having a Marquise Diamond ring of her own she was hopeful of designing something simple and creative at the same time. Removing all the gems and playing with different design concepts together we created a “That’s It!” moment. One other special request was to incorporate some Rose Gold.
The results speak of an understated elegant ring keeping three generations together forever.
Keeping Mom and Dad Close
Two sisters entered our shop looking to repurpose their late mother and father’s rings into jewelry they could wear, keeping memories of their parents close by.
We began by refurbishing the mother’s engagement and wedding rings, re-tipping the prongs and re-
For one sister, who plays in an orchestra, we created a beautiful abstract treble clef pendant which incorporated the engagement ring’s center diamonds and ornate setting as the focal point of the piece. We also brought in one of the diamonds from the father’s ring as an accent.
The other sister desired a pair of custom earrings, featuring the diamonds and settings from the mother’s wedding band. We also included the remaining refurbished diamond sections from her dad’s ring.

Run Over
We had a client that had an unfortunate event happen to her ring—it was actually run over by a car!
What seemed a disastrous situation quickly turned into a fortunate one. We were able to save not only the main diamond, but the accent baguettes as well, and incorporate them all into a completely custom ring design. We also integrated white gold, in combination with the yellow gold of the original ring to create the look of today. Our client was thrilled with the results and now has a one-of-a-kind story to share about her new ring!
Old Becomes New
A woman came in looking to update the look of her wedding ring while maintaining the character of the original design she was married with. She wanted to incorporate elements that represented her children as well as her husband.
Through our consultations, we created a custom ring design that incorporates the client’s love for “steampunk”, with flourishes and flowing lines, as well as her husband’s love for sailing, with a braided rope detail. We added two black diamonds as a way to represent their two daughters.
